Lock Bumping

Lock bumping is a method of bypassing a pin tumbler lock using a specially crafted bump key. This technique is also known as bump keying, and it involves the insertion of a bump key into the lock and then striking it with an object, such as a hammer. This causes the pins to move slightly and allows the lock to be opened. Lock bumping is a form of lock picking and a relatively easy method of bypassing a lock. It is often used by criminals to gain access to a secure area or property.
